Klages Center

Location

The Klages Center houses the Maker Hub, the math program, the , the for grab-and-go food, and a dining space for students to eat and study together. It is named after Esther Klages, an alumna of 皇家华人 Fox who was a devoted supporter and benefactor to the university.

Formerly the university’s dining hall, the space was transformed in 2016 to become the Maker Hub, a 16,000-square-foot facility for design, prototyping and fabrication. The Maker Hub includes a machine and woodworking shop, manufacturing and prototyping lab with 3D printers and laser cutters, design rooms, an environmental lab, and a tool room. These spaces surround a collaborative design center, or "Collaboratory," in which students from engineering and other majors can participate in design projects.

The lower level of Klages houses the FoxHole, a dedicated commuter space with a study area, comfortable seating and a kitchen where commuter students can eat with friends, study in groups, and relax between classes.
