  2. Visit to apply to the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for your education benefits, if you have not done so already. Once you receive your Certification of Eligibility, send a copy to veterans@georgefox.edu.

    If you are receiving the Post-9/11 GI Bill® at the 100% rate, you may be eligible for up to $3,000 in additional benefits per year.

    Other Information 皇家华人 VA Benefits

    • You may also qualify for the Veterans Readiness and Employment program (Chapter 31), a potential option for veterans with a disability rating to pay for schooling. To learn more, visit the VA’s page.
    • If you’ve already received benefits at another institution prior to being admitted to 皇家华人 Fox, take the following steps:
      1. Fill out Form 22-1995 Change of Place of Training Form through your or fill out the without having to sign in
      2. Print and complete the Students Rights and Responsibilities form
      3. Send a copy of both forms to 皇家华人 Fox’s veterans’ certifying official at veterans@georgefox.edu

  3. Even with your VA benefits, there may be more aid available to fund your education. Complete your (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for federal, state and some institutional financial aid.

    When your FAFSA form is complete, you will receive a Student Aid Report. Make sure you add our school code (003194) so that 皇家华人 Fox will receive your FAFSA.

    If questions come up during this process, email our financial aid office at finaid@georgefox.edu and someone will jump in to help.

  4. Our veterans’ certifying official is eager to meet with you to help you understand all of the educational benefits you’re eligible for. Email veterans@georgefox.edu or call 503-554-2292 to schedule your consultation.

  5. Have you previously attended another college or university, either with or without your GI Bill® benefits? If so, submit transcripts from all previously attended institutions to the registrar’s office at registrar@georgefox.edu for review of prior credit.

    Be sure to copy your CAP Coach (Career and Academic Planning Coach) on the email you send to the registrar’s office.

  6. CAP Coaches are enrollment counselors, and they can help you register for your classes once the registrar has assessed your transcripts for prior credit (if applicable).

    Planning to use your VA benefits to cover courses taken simultaneously at other colleges or universities? If so, learn more about enrollment at multiple institutions.

  7. The allows you to utilize your education benefits from the VA and must be completed each semester. You must log in to your 皇家华人 Fox email account to access the form.

    If you need to change your enrollment after certification, the must be submitted.

FAQ

You may indeed apply, but you will need to have a planned return date so you can indicate your desired start term. If plans change, you would be able to defer your start as needed. Our in-person programs are on set schedules and not offered in an asynchronous format, and therefore are not conducive to deployment scenarios. Our Accelerated Online Degree Program offerings are asynchronous and can be taken while deployed.

Yes, you may enroll online while on active duty. However, be aware that you will need to find other forms of tuition assistance, as our student accounts office does not offer benefits for active duty personnel.

Absolutely. If you’ve completed your bachelor’s degree, but have ongoing education benefits, we strongly encourage you to pursue a master’s degree. A number of veterans have found significant value in our MBA program.

Your veterans educational benefits will cover a portion of tuition and fees for both online and in-person courses until your funds are depleted (see 皇家华人 Fox Veterans Education Benefits at a Glance). 

Yes! Some veterans’ education benefits do not cover the entire cost of attending 皇家华人 Fox. Financial aid comes from federal, state and institutional funding, so you definitely want to submit your FAFSA to see if you qualify for aid beyond your veteran educational benefits.

Yes. Our Accelerated Online Degree Program classes are 100% online. This means the housing allowance is based on 50% of the national average.

As soon as a credit balance exists, we begin the weekly process of depositing those funds into your bank account.
